Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

iRonShore Technologies, LLC provides iRonShore Fitness for iPhone and iPad. The app reads Apple Health information you permit to display activity, workout history, and descriptive summaries. This policy covers the app, not the iRonShore Technologies website.

Apple Health Information

Depending on your permissions and supported device features, Fitness can read steps, walking or running distance, active and resting energy, food energy records, exercise time, workouts and recorded workout routes, sleep, cardio fitness estimates, heart rate, resting heart rate, blood pressure, irregular-rhythm notification records, AFib History estimates, and medication information you separately choose to share.

Health records returned to the app are processed in memory on your device. Fitness does not write, edit, or delete Apple Health records. A missing result does not establish zero activity, no medication use, or the absence of a health condition. Apple does not let the app distinguish every denied read permission from missing data.

Local profiles personalize the interface. Switching a profile does not switch the device’s Apple Health account or create separate Health accounts for different people.

Personalization and Wellness Entries

The app saves preferences such as goals, units, display choices, permission-request completion flags, and celebration history. You may also save profile names, selected portraits and celebration images, messages, and other personalization choices.

Optional wellness settings include a reference group, an age you enter, and dated self-checks for readiness, sleep quality, fatigue, soreness, and stress. The app keeps up to 90 self-check entries per wellness profile. These self-checks are stored locally rather than written to Health. They are not included in activity reports.

On Device Summaries and Maps

Calculated summaries and optional Apple on-device AI summaries are generated on your device. The AI feature does not send the supplied Health facts to an iRonShore server or a remote AI provider. Generated text can be wrong and is not medical advice.

When you open an available workout route, the app reads its recorded coordinates from Health and displays them on an Apple MapKit map. The app does not record your current location or a new workout route. Apple’s map service may use the network to provide the map and receive information needed for that service. Route information can reveal sensitive locations. Routes are not included in the app’s generated reports or profile backups.

Sharing and Profile Backups

You choose whether and where to share a summary, activity report, profile backup, or appointment PDF. Appointment reports may include blood pressure information, medication names and recorded events, and notes you add. Review the prepared content before sharing. Temporary appointment PDFs are created locally; saved or sent copies remain at their destinations.

Profile backups contain names, portraits, celebration photos, and messages. They do not contain Apple Health records or permissions. Keep these files private. Importing a backup and saving it can replace existing personalization.

Developer Access and Tracking

The current app has no developer-operated account service, advertising, behavioral tracking, or integrated analytics. We do not receive your Health records, routes, or selected photos merely because you use Fitness. We do not use the app’s Health information for advertising or sell it.

Apple Health, MapKit, device backup, and app distribution services operate under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. Any service or person you choose when sharing receives the content you send.

Storage and Your Choices

Loaded Health records and AI text are held in memory. After successful migration, wellness entries, age/reference settings, and real activity celebration dates are stored in protected local files that are marked for exclusion from device backups. They remain across app restarts and are not intended to transfer through a normal device backup. Other preferences remain in ordinary local storage and may be included in backups. If migration is incomplete or fails, an older preference copy may remain outside that exclusion. This does not remove information from earlier backups or copies you exported.

Clear app session removes loaded Health data and stops automatic reconnection. It does not erase preferences, revoke permissions, delete self-checks, or remove original Health records. Use Clear saved self-checks in the wellness screen to remove that profile’s saved checks. Manage Health read permissions in Apple Health; medication access is managed separately.

Deleting the app removes its local app data, but not Apple Health records, exported files, prior backups, or copies you shared. Restoring a backup can restore earlier preferences. Profile recovery copies may retain prior personalization until removed through an appropriate data-removal process.

Support and Policy Updates

If you contact us, we receive the email and information you choose to send so we can address your request. Send the minimum needed: a redacted error or screenshot is preferable to a complete report. Do not send medication lists, precise routes, or Health exports unless necessary and specifically agreed.

We will update this policy when relevant app practices change. The effective date appears above.
