Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

iRonShore Technologies, LLC provides iRonShore PhotoOps for iPhone and iPad. PhotoOps analyzes photographs you allow it to access and helps you review, search, and organize descriptions in a saved catalog. This policy covers the app, not the iRonShore Technologies website or the services you choose for sharing files.

Photos and Catalog Information

With your permission, PhotoOps accesses photographs in Apple Photos. You can allow selected photos or your full library. The app uses image renditions, photo identifiers, original filenames, dates, image dimensions, and available change information to analyze images and match saved results.

Analysis runs on your device. The saved catalog can contain suggested and edited names, tags, descriptions, text recognized in images, visual labels, review status, and analysis failures. Naming settings can also retain your explicitly confirmed names and learned wording preferences. Recognized text and descriptions may contain personal or sensitive information from your images.

PhotoOps does not automatically identify people or assign a confirmed name to unrelated photos. Suggestions can be inaccurate and require your review.

Downloads and Photos Changes

iCloud downloads are off by default. If you enable them and confirm an analysis batch, Apple Photos may download needed image data using your internet connection and device storage. Stopping a request does not necessarily remove data already downloaded by Photos.

Catalog analysis does not change original image content or filenames. The separate Photos Changes feature can apply captions and keywords after you review and confirm a proposal on supported systems. A local change journal records previous and proposed values for verification and guarded Undo. Changes made to Apple Photos may synchronize through your iCloud Photos settings.

Optional Sync and Export

Catalog Sync runs when you request it, using a folder you choose. A folder in iCloud Drive or another synchronized location can transfer information between your devices. Sync files can include reviewed or edited names, descriptions, tags, cloud photo identifiers, review information, and photo-version information. Recognized text and naming settings or confirmed profiles are separate opt-in choices. Image files and the Photos-change journal are not included in catalog sync snapshots.

Turning a sync option off affects future snapshots from that device. It does not erase older files, cloud history, or copies already received elsewhere. PhotoOps does not automatically apply synced descriptions to Apple Photos.

Local catalog exports include descriptions, recognized text, and device-local photo identifiers. You choose where to save or share them. Anyone with access to that destination may be able to read the exported information.

Developer Access and Tracking

PhotoOps has no developer-operated account service, advertising, behavioral tracking, or integrated analytics in the current app. Image analysis is not sent to an iRonShore server or a remote AI service. We do not receive your library or catalog merely because you use the app.

Apple’s Photos, iCloud, device backup, and distribution services have their own privacy practices. Information you deliberately export or send for support is handled by the destination you choose, rather than remaining solely within PhotoOps.

Storage and Your Choices

Catalog records, preferences, bookmarks, and change journals are stored in the app’s local storage. They are not separately encrypted by PhotoOps; device protections and any backup settings also matter. Saved results remain across app restarts.

You can change Photos permission in device Settings. Removing access hides inaccessible photos but does not erase previously saved catalog text or journals. Deleting the app removes its local app data; it does not delete photographs, reverse confirmed Photos changes, or remove exports, sync files, backups, or copies on other devices. Those copies must be managed separately. Restoring a backup may restore earlier app data.

Before removing a change journal, resolve uncertain Photos changes and preserve any history you still need for recovery. Contact support for guidance rather than deleting recovery files to bypass an error.

Support and Policy Updates

If you contact us, we receive the email and information you choose to send so we can address your request. Do not send full catalogs or personal photographs unless necessary and specifically agreed. Redact sensitive recognized text and identifiers from screenshots or reports.

We will update this policy when relevant app practices change. The effective date appears above.
